November 29 - People Really Win!
Believe it or not, within 24 hours someone wrote in and correctly answered the following questions:
1) What was the name of the band in Wayne's World that featured Tia Carrere as lead vocalist?

2) Which Keel member played in that band for the movie?
Marc Ferrari, who was the band's guitarist
3) Keel bassist Kenny Chaisson has 2 brothers who've played bass for other bands. Name either of them, and the band in which he played.
Kenny's brothers include Greg Chaisson, who played in Badlands. His other
brother Todd played in Tuff, but shortened his name and was credited as 'Todd Chase'.
Special thanks to Chris in Fredericksburg, VA for taking the

about 80s metal bands... Chris just won himself a Keel cd. Now don't the rest of you feel

Hey, a guy can dream, right? But I know my chances of one day
sharing a stage with 'ol JB are pretty slim.
Speaking of pretty slim... I've got some good news for
you people. As special thanks for hanging in there and being good sports while I try and pretend
I'm doing "work" on this site, I've been given something designated specifically to give
to a lucky one of you.
I hold in my hands a SEALED copy of the then-comeback record
of the almost-mighty KEEL. It's called "Back In Action", and contains some of
their strongest material. You can hear the fist-pumping hysterics of "Reach Out And Rock Somebody".
You can throw your own private party 'cause it's "Friday Every Night". Most certainly, you will be
"Proud To Be Loud". There's also a less studio-glossy version of "United Nations", which was
one of the standout tracks off of their self-titled 1988 record.
Do you want it? Well, it's yours. FREE. I'll even pay the
postage. All I ask is that you be the first one to answer a few questions... I'd hate for
some non-rock fan to enter my contest only to try to pawn it off on Ebay next week... Anyhow,

Oh yeah! The reason that you came here... The
Topics page finally has an update. I've also added pics to the
Concert Pics gallery. New pics of Bret Michaels and Great White are up. There
are also a few new ones of Y & T. Some came out pretty well, some totally suck. Oh well.
But I think I know why Y & T never really broke... While they totally kick ass live, I've never
been able to get a good picture of them. Someone please tell them that in order for them to
break into the big time, they'll need to have some good pics turn up over here at FJ.com...
November 16 - Redesign Update
It's still coming along. More of the buttons work now. The pages that were updated last include:

Staff Page. More to come over the next few days.
I've also had the flu, and spent the last few days alternating
between pretending I'm ok at work and feeling lousy at home. So things around here are
pretty much back to normal.
Hopefully soon I'll get my hindquarters over to the camera
shop and get some pics developed. I've got pics from Y & T and Great White to post. If I'm
lucky, I'll have some of Bret Michaels by the end of the week too. Keep your fingers
crossed.
I also finally got around to moving some furniture around
over here at Casa James. In keepng true to the idiotic 14 year old that still lives inside
of me, I created a ROCK WALL. Most of my cd collection is on shelves that take up the entire
wall, and above the shelves hang various collectibles and photos from over the years. I've
got everything from a drawing of Joe Perry and Steven Tyler to my pictures with Kiss, to some
really cool shots of Nikki Sixx and Warren DeMartini autographed by Neil Zlozower. There's
more to come there too, but before I invest in more picture frames I think I should buy a HEPA
filter instead.
(Kicked up a lot of dust digging some of that stuff out...)
November 11 - Coming Along...
Yup, I dusted off some old images, created a few new ones, and added some features. Here's a sneak preview.
A lot of the pages are still under heavy construction, but I figured I'd at least show that I'm doing more than
sitting on my ass eating Doritos.
This page will continue to hold the daily crap you've come to expect, but it will
likely be a little more brief. Essentially, it'll serve as a notice when other feature pages get updated. I've created a page for topical commentary which will link back to the forums
should anyone care to further discuss. I've also created pages for links and archived posts of old, in the interest of making
the front page a little easier on the eyes. Scrolling down for hours at a time gets old.
But don't get too excited - a lot of the links over there in that fancy new menu don't work yet.
They also won't open up new windows from here anymore - only links to other places offsite will do that. Hang in there, it'll
all come together eventually. Or not. But hey, it's still free for you. Unless of course, you decide to use that really
cool "Gift Shop" button...
