So, you've got an enquiring mind, huh? Well, I'll fill you in on more
than you'll ever need (or want) to know about me. If you can relate, my
deepest sympathies......

Name - James
Location - Sacramento, California
Hometown - Jupiter, Florida, even though I was born in Lake Forest, Illinois
Height - 6'2"
Weight - About 160 lbs
Race - Human. I'm a white American mutt.
Marital Status - None. Feel free to send a resume.
Religion - Baptized Catholic, confirmed United Church of Christ.
Well, what are you now? - Non-denominational, but still Christian. Religion is important, but not an obsession for me.
Political affiliation - Economically conservative, socially moderate. But I keep an open mind.
Kids - None, but I do like 'em and would make a pretty good dad. I'm a great uncle. I'll prove it - here's a pic of me with my nephew and niece:

Eyes - Green/blue
Hair - Light brown. Used to be dark blond, but I moved away from the beach
Smokes - No
Drinks - Corona, margaritas, wine. But prefers non-alcoholic Diet Coke or orange juice.
Drugs - Nope
Living arrangement - Small overpriced apartment that desperately needs to be vacuumed.
Music - Blues, 80's Metal, Rock, Reggae, World, Jazz, Baroque, Country, Jimmy Buffett. I like music in general.
Instruments Played - Guitar (Fender, Jackson, and Hamer through either Marshall or Crate amps), bass guitar (Hamer through Marshall), and I'm the biggest wannabe air drummer on the planet. I've been known to mess with a keyboard now and then, as well
Thoughts on Ouija Boards - Anything available in a Kay-Bee toy store is NOT a gateway to the netherworlds.
Favorite TV show- I watch very little tv, but I do enjoy those Behind The Music specials on
VH1 (even the ones for crappy bands). And anything on the Food Network
RULES!
Mousepad - The Jupiter Lighthouse on one, Florida State University stuff on the other. Currently,
FSU's on top.
Favorite smells - Vanilla, those blue candles that are supposed to smell like the ocean (but
don't), and dinner cooking.
Worst feeling in the world - Insecurity. And I feel it WAY too often.
Best feeling in the world - Either being on the receiving end of a friendly smile, or reaching into a
bag of jelly beans and picking out a red one without even trying.
Favorite soundtrack - Smokey & the Bandit. Jerry Reed's the MAN!
First thought in the morning - Whose house is this? Seriously, I think of all the things I should get up
and go do, and just hope there's some grapefruit juice in the fridge.
Motion sickness - Occasionally. I HATE virtual reality rides.
Roller coasters. Scary or exciting? Mostly scary, but with gentle coaxing I'll usually go.
How many rings before you answer the phone? Dunno - it never rings! Less than four, because that's when voice mail
picks it up.
Future son's name - Jordan
Future daughter's name - Payton (By the way, these are negotiable. I'm just a big Chicago Bears/Bulls fan!)
Do you get along well with your parents? I get along very well with my mom, but rarely speak to my dad. He left,
and we didn't really stay in touch. I do miss him though.
Chocolate or vanilla? Both. With caramel on top.
Favorite ice cream? Varies, but right now it's all about Dulce de Leche. Haagen Dazs.
Do you like to drive? If I know where I'm going I don't mind. I don't like driving in unfamiliar
places.
Storms - cool or scary? CA doesn't get real storms, just drizzles. REAL storms are pretty cool
if you're inside, have candles, and dinner's already made.
First car - 86 Buick Skyhawk. I totalled it and nearly died - I'm very lucky.
If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be? Ms. Right. I hope she's still alive!
Zodiac sign - Taurus. May 8.
Do you eat the stems of broccoli? Yes, especially if the fondue pot's going and I can dunk 'em in CHEESE
Dream job - Professional beach tester. If I can't have that, I want to own a tropical
restaurant and just be mellow. Basically, any job where I don't have to wear socks or
a tie everyday, can keep my bills paid, and get ahead without kissing ass would be just
fine with me.
Have you ever been in love? Yes. But I recovered.
What's on the wall in your bedroom? A portrait my dad gave to me in college. It has a mansion and a bunch of
sports cars, and reads "Justification For Higher Education". It's so
"not me", but I kept it anyways. I also have a collage that was given
to me as a going-away present from my old work friends before I moved to CA.
Is the glass half full or half empty? If it ever contained a margarita, it's COMPLETELY empty. Here's a pic of my grandfather and I enjoying full glasses (He's my hero, by the way - no one on the planet is cooler than my grandfather!). He's actually trying his first margarita here - I converted him.

Favorite Snapple - Pink lemonade
Favorite movie(s) - Bill & Ted, Independence Day, Smokey & The Bandit, Rambo (I have HORRIBLE
taste, huh!) But I also collect Disney movies. Honestly, I'll watch just about anything with the right company.
Lefty or righty? Throws right, bats left, writes right, uses a fork with the left, swings
golf clubs right. Hell, I dunno.....
If I were a gardening tool, I'd be - Anything but a sack of manure. I'd wanna be one of those doohickeys that
pulls oranges off of the trees. I love citrus!
What's under the bed? Dust, and a cat. Maybe 2, because I don't see either of them right now.
Favorite number - 15 Red. Paid for the whole trip once when I was in Reno. (35 to 1 payoff)
Dream car - Used to be a Corvette, but now I'm not so sure. I'm just not as
materialistic as I used to be, and don't care much about cars. But my
dream car will be a convertible.
Toothpaste - Crest whitening
Shampoo - either John Frieda honey-caramel blonde highlight-activating, or Nexxus Therappe
Conditioner - also John Frieda, or Nexxus Humectress. Love that coconut smell!
Shaving cream - Gillette gel (best used with Gillette Mach3 razor)
Soap - Dial Antibacterial
Deodorant - Speed Stick, Northern Ice or Glacier
Pizza - flexible, with the following rules: no mushrooms (I'm allergic), no olives (I just don't like 'em) and most of all, NO ANCHOVIES PLEASE. You get bonus points if you know where that last line came from.
Sleeps - Left side, fetal position.
Sheets - Blue, Caribbean Brights. With lots of pillows.
Snores - Only when sick/allergic and lying on back
Pets - 2 cats (Simba the orange tabby, and Cassie the brown tortie). My beloved parakeet, Birdie, passed away at the age of 7 this year.

Collects - cd's, Jupiter Lighthouse memorabilia (polite word for CRAP)
Investment Style - Generally aggressive. I want to retire and live a little, so I save now. With discipline, consistency, and a little luck, the payoff should be pretty good.
High School - Jupiter High. Home of the Warriors. (pretty much all I remember)
College - Florida State. Bachelor's degree (Cum Laude) Communications and Psychology
Sports - You betcha. If there's a ball, a goal, and a chance of injury, I'm there.
Exercise - Martial arts, soccer, a little weight lifting, and a lot of situps
Food - Now we're talkin'. LOVE Southern, grilled, and tropical food.
Breakfast - The Country Boy at the Cracker Barrel - steak, eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, apples, coffee, and orange juice. It's breakfast perfection. But at home on most mornings it's just the juice (I have to be at work at 6am!)
Positive Characteristics - Honest, good sense of humor, easygoing, responsible, nice
Negative characteristics - Insecure, often shy, NICE
Biggest Pet Peeve - That jerky people seem to get ahead quicker than those with integrity
Greatest Triumph - Earning a black belt in taekwondo after being told that I'd never walk normally again. (I recovered fully)
Secret Desire - To spend several weeks on a sailboat, and cruise the Intracoastal Waterway.
Just Wants To - Hang out at the beach, grill a nice dinner for someone special, and be mellow.
Biggest Regret - Never worked up the nerve to ask out that super-cute girl back when we were in high school. But I did manage to finally meet her at our 10 year reunion.... She's a looker! But forget it guys, she's already taken. Oh well. Someone out there is pretty darn lucky, huh? :)
And as a special bonus for actually reading this whole page, here's a picture of me with my mom, and my brother, taken in October, 2000 (Doesn't my brother look like presidential material?).
Feel free to email me should you want to know any more. God forbid I left anything out!
